Thanksgiving weekend

We had a very busy weekend, but got to spend time with family and friends, which is always fabulous!

Wednesday night before Thanksgiving is always a big 'going out' night for everyone so we went to dinner with friends, then to the bar

Thursday mid-afternoon, we went to Aunt Cathy's for Thanksgiving dinner- dinner was absolutely yummy and we wish we could have been there longer. We had to head off to my parents' house that evening for dinner there- we usually do Thanksgiving with my family on Friday, but my Dad had to go to Germany

I worked Friday and Saturday- Sunday morning I worked and then we were off to New Jersey for Charlie's bday party- I can't believe he's 4 already! His party was at the Garden State discovery museum

surprisingly, Bode loved the golf... I don't think he has ever seen golf or played before much, but he loved it and hit the ball a few times!

Sunday night we got home in the evening and it was so nice to be home and not living out of a bag for almost a week.... but Michael was hunting until Monday night, so we weren't quite complete til he was home!

We have had sooo much fun with Bode- he is really into playing trucks and plays by himself for such a long time, it's really nice actually. He uses his imagination more and more each week and tells us stories- he is speaking in at least understandable full sentences and is slowly using the potty here and there. He continues to absolutely crack us up all the time. We were at Target the other night shopping and asked him if he wanted a new truck- I asked him what truck he wanted and he said 'i want all of them'. We laughed out loud several times at Target, listening to what Bode was asking for and saying!!
We are trying to tell him about Santa, but I don't think he quite gets it yet- next year will be really fun!!
