More cuteness.... oh and more snow!!!

We have been bombarded with snow lately- it's been crazy! First things first- Bode got his hairs cut at a new kids place in Lititz.... they have video games for the kids to play and fun chairs, movies to watch, etc. He LOVED it! He picked the motorcycle, of course, and talked about 'Gampa's motorcycle' the whole time.
Getting ready for his haircut
post haircut- i wanted it much shorter because it grows so fast, so he got the clippers around the back, but the top is still long enough for me to spike!!

So we thought we got a lot of snow a little over a week ago.... about 18 inches where we live... and then we got hit with a blizzard this past week and it dumped another 20 inches!! It has been crazy and although I thought it was horrible timing with Valentine's Day around the corner and a big celebration weekend in Lititz, things turned out just fine!

Koa was wiped out after playing in the snow! So cute laying on his animals
Bode was getting ready to play in the snow and was practicing measuring the snow like Daddy

playing outside- Michael brought out his sand shovel and bucket and Bode loved it!

Because of the storm, we were stuck in the house for 2 days- which was super fun believe it or not- It was so nice to have my boys home and sleep in a bit and although we didn't relax much, it was still quality time at home with family. Michael worked on transition strips upstairs and we both tackled our main set of steps (we are currently ripping out carpet strips and scraping glue, refinishing them, etc.) and worked on other projects. I brought work home with me and Bode insisted on helping ( i won't complain, he loves helping and i hope it continues when the baby comes ha).

While helping me, he had to wear my shoes too haha

here are some snow pictures- you can see how much we got- the piles were over Michael's head after shoveling
the walkway to our door

our sidewalk!

the wonderful plow job that Lititz Borough does (NOT)

just crazy snow
my boys, bored after being stuck at home the second day haha

Bode making snow angels on the living room floor

He also loved watching the snow blowers and especially the plow trucks!

I spent part of one day cleaning out the nursery and getting BGM's room ready- I cleaned out the closet and put everything 'boy' related up in Bode's closet and hung up her 0-3 month clothes and put the same sizes in her drawers, unpacked her 9 pairs of shoes (i'm so proud she has so many haha) and got the room ready... yeah I was nesting! I haven't washed the clothes yet because I have about 3 months left but just seeing the tiny clothes hanging in the closet makes it feel so much more real. I don't have nursery pictures yet because I need to get new curtains and some decorations, but it'll be ready soon!
In the organizing process, Bode claimed his cabbage patch doll that I think my sister got him for his bday and he loves playing with it- sometimes he throws it on the ground..... a reminder to never leave BGM alone with him LOL
he named the baby Kona (i don't know where he got Kona but it's a Hawaiian word and for a few weeks he was actually calling BGM Kona and people thought that was her name haha)
Baby Kona got put in timeout- it was so cute. I came out of the bathroom and asked him what happened and he said "baby Kona bite me- he in timeout Mommy"
Hey, can't argue with that, no biting allowed!
But baby Kona and Bode made up and he loves his baby

So this weekend is the big Fire & Ice Festival in Lititz... plus Friday was 2nd friday downtown. The festival was kicked off with 2nd Friday and there were ice sculptures being carved throughout main street, you could roast marshmallows, there was music, food, games, etc. It's a huge weekend in Lititz and I was worried about the Olympic opening ceremonies starting, but I think because of the snow, everyone needed to get out! We had a great turnout! Here is the street in front of our shop

tons of people came downtown- the streets were packed, I love this town!

Michael usually brings Bode in on 2nd Friday and we get dinner next door at the pizza shop, so as usual my boys came down to say hi and after dinner, they went out to roast marshmallows!

Eskimo ice sculpture- people could put their faces in the hole and take pictures, it was really cute
Carving out the dolphin sculpture

The festival continued on Saturday and we had the big chili cook-off! People who didn't make it out last night came out today to see the ice scupltures and walk around.... one thing I have noticed about this town- everyone is so nice!!!!

We have a few busy weekends coming up- next Sunday is Bode's swimming/Elmo birthday party with friends and kids and the following weekend is his 2nd bday party!!! I am trying to get a video of him doing his puzzles, which is his new thing- he can do puzzles so easily and I'm not sure if it's normal for a 2 year old to do these, but regardless it's cute and impressive to us!

I had my checkup on Friday and the doctor said everything looks good with BGM. She is measuring normal, even though I feel massive- I actually haven't gained nearly as much weight up til now as I did with Bode, but I feel like my belly is bigger... is that possible?? I asked her why I look like I have 'dropped' and she said it could either be carrying differently with this pregnancy, or my uterus is just stretched a bit and drops earlier.... regardless, things look great and I'm still feeling good and working out. I'm only able to run 1 mile, sometimes 3/4 mile, but i love it and miss running sooo much! I'm not sure what it's going to take, but it still hasn't really hit me yet that we are having another, until I walk down the hall and see her room all set up. Oh well, it will have to hit me sooner or later!
