So we have had some bloodshed in the Madara house lately- Monday when I got home from work, Bode tried getting up to come see me, slipped and landed flat on his face on the hardwood floors! Blood was all over his mouth and we couldn't see his top teeth and I panicked..... we realized shortly after that he had actually ripped his top frenulum- i thought he had ripped it completely through, but i was afraid to pull his lip away too far......
Today he fell while running and caught the hinge of the door on the way down :( Nanny took excellent care of him and because of that, he did not need stitches!!! We took him to the pediatrician and he needed a butterfly, but the scar shouldn't be bad at all and we are so glad he did not need to go through stitches!!

Before

After the doctor

He was such a good boy and the doctor was so impressed with his vocabulary and mobility! While we were there,i had them check his frenulum and he did not rip it all the way through- in fact, she said some kids need to get it cut back because it can cause a gap in teeth or it might need to be cut when he's older if he needs braces, so he's good to go!
I'm sure this will just be the first of many bloody experiences, but i am definitely NOT looking forward to that part of his childhood! The doctor says scars give kids their character, but i beg to disagree- it gives parents gray hair!!!!!!!! Now his eyebrow might match mine with scars!

wasn't the scar I gave you on the same eyebrow? I gave you 9 stitches though...that's real love!
So glad that Bode didn't need stitches! They're the worst! He's still cute as ever!
