Happy New Year!

Happy New year everyone!!! Have a safe New Year's Eve whatever you do and good luck with 2009

Bode is doing soooo well walking! Every time I try to get him on video, something happens and either Koa knocks him over or he just stands there and stares at the camera..... so I will try to get some footage of that- he is standing on his own now, without help pulling himself onto something and takes about 6 steps... he is so proud of himself and I think it's so cute because when he stands up, he looks for my hand. I know that seems so silly but it's just so cute.... once he takes a few steps, he shakes my hand away haha!



On a different note, we are making headway on the basement!! Michael has done most of the painting but I'm able to help him a little when Bode goes to bed. The color is called 'warm cocoon' and it looks more yellow in the picture than it really is. It reminds me of a sunset yellowish orange- almost a southwestern color. It's really nice and bright for a basement and we are doing white on the bottom of the wall- we aren't painting that yet until the tile is done, it just has a primer on it now


Here is the wall where the previous owner had a dartboard- and let me tell you, based on the amount of spackling we had to do, he wasn't very good haha!


It's coming together nicely and we can't wait until it's tiled and done! We have some nice furniture and want to get new lights for around the bar and we are going to have a bar-opening party at some point soon!!!

Scott has off this week so he is going to start tiling Friday morning and when Michael gets home from work he can help. Scott is such a trooper, we can't thank him enough!

We bought the tile and here it is... it's called Keyera Beige and it has a grayish swirl design on it so the grout color is called Platinum- it's a dark gray.... I hope it all comes together and looks spiffy!
