The Rest of Vacation

Bode had so much fun in the lake.... he really does love the water- which is fitting for our little Nalu!!

We went to the Lobster Pound Sunday night for dinner- by far, one of my favorite places to eat Lobstaa-
Bode was so excited, he fell asleep while Michael and I were getting ready

Dinner at the Lobster Pound

The guys are getting ready to go out fishing on the boat

When they got back from fishing, they reviewed the fish that they caught on Brandon's video camera

We headed to Freeport, ME to do some shopping and more lobster dinner- LL Bean is headquartered in Freeport, as well as lots of neat shops!

Dinner at Harraseeket's right on the water in Freeport!

It's tradition to get pictures by the water

The guys- Matt Bachert, Matt Ober, Michael, Brandon Powell
THE GANG

The ladies- Andrea, Jamie, me, Devon

Hanging out by the lake- Bode LOVES his little activity table

Mason and Makayla had fun jumping off of the floating dock out in the cove

Michael and Bode playing in the water.....

Oh my gosh, this was my favorite picture of the week- how precious!

We spent Thursday out on the boat all day- we found an island that had a rope swing and it was shaded, so we ate lunch there and hung out on our floaties!

Here is Ober doing the captain morgan pose

We went to Portland one of the days- we walked around downtown and went to a tavern called $3 Deweys..... we also ate at the Chowder House- they had the most amazing chicken corn chowder I have ever had!!

Uncle Brandon wanted to get his picture with Bode

So did Uncle Bachert

Bode sleeping through most of the shopping- he's not a big fan of shopping- definitely takes after his Daddy!

The Ober kids at $3 Deweys

Awwww

The Madara Family

Aunt Devon watched Bode while I went running- we had a great path to run- it was very hilly, although the hills weren't too steep.... just constant. After running that route every morning, I came home and had an amazing run (it's not very hilly in Lancaster)

As we packed up to leave :( I read Bode his bedtime book "Stanley Goes Fishing" (Bachert calls himself Stanley, so it's an inside joke but Bode loves the book)

Beautiful view of our dock!

We had a great week in Maine and were very sad to leave. We left Saturday morning around 3am again and this time, Bode was a perfect angel on the way home! He laughed and 'talked' to himself, played with his toys, and slept on the way home. We barely heard a peep out of him unless it was a giggle. We made it home around 1pm (much better than the 14 hours it took us to get there).

We were sad to leave Maine, partly because we knew coming home meant dealing with our new house and packing up this one. We found out on vacation that the bank picked the wrong offer on the house- apparently, someone else made a higher offer and the bank accidentally pulled our names and accepted our offer- OOOPS! Talk about meant to be.....
We are slowly starting to organize and pack things up. Both sets of parents met at the new house on Saturday to see it and they all loved it! But, my Mom and Joni realized that the weekend we were supposed to settle was Labor Day weekend- yikes, no one will be around, including us hahaha. We worked it out so that our settlement is now August 21st.... great even less time to pack this house!! We definitely have our work cut out for ourselves in the next month- we are just keeping our fingers crossed that things work out with this house! I hope everyone enjoys the pictures!
