So vacation kinda officially started Saturday morning around 2am. Michael and I got up to shower, get ready, and finish packing our stuff up. We then woke Bode up and topped him off with a bottle before meeting the gang at Giant at 3am. We met Matt, Jamie, Mason, Makayla, Matthew, Andrea, Bachert, Devon, and Brandon at Giant and the caravan was off!
Bode slept until about 7am and woke up screaming, probably because he realized he was strapped in and HATES to be confined! We stopped for breakfast and stretched a bit and Bode fell back asleep when we got moving again. He woke up here and there on our way and it was tough a few times because if he wasn't sleeping, he was pretty much crying.
The plan was for everyone to stop at my cousin Tammy's house in Kensington, NH and she was generous enough to have lunch, munchies, drinks, and a gorgeous house to stretch and relax in. (THANK YOU MCCRACKEN FAMILY). The kids jumped on the giant trampoline and we got a tour of their gorgeous new house and sipped the amazing apple pie drink (1 gallon vodka, 2 gallons apple cider, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup honey- ferment for 2 months..... and absolutely ENJOY).
Yeahhhhh welcome to New Hampshire!

Bode meeting Michael & Elizabeth (Tammy & Glenn's kids)

When we left New Hampshire, we had a slight mishap with the trailer- big surprise.... the trailer has been nothing but a burden for my parents lately! Matt Ober was towing the boat and felt something go wrong- pulled over, only to realize the trailer had a blown tire!! The caravan pulled over while Matt and Jamie went to find help, a tire, and go to Sears to get tools :( Michael and I drove onto Maine because we had to get our keys by 5pm. We got to the house right around 5 and the rest of the caravan arrived around 6 after a LOOOOONG day of driving.
This was our backyard- we had a beautiful house that we are going to request every year now. It was perfect and it had a fire pit plus this beautiful beach area for the kids to play. It was located in a quiet cove with no boat traffic!!

This was the back of the house- the master bedroom had it's own private deck (we drew straws for the room and Devon & Brandon were lucky enough to get that room- 'the honeymoon suite')!!

Aunt Devon holding Bode while Michael and I unpacked and got the house ready before the ladies went off to get groceries for the week

When I got back from getting groceries, this is what I saw.... when I asked Michael what he was doing, he calmly said 'giving Bode a bath'..... I guess he didn't have a free hand hahahah too funny!! Hey, I'm not complaining, Michael is an absolutely amazing husband who always helps out and goes above and beyond for me and Bode!

The guys took the boat to the launch and brought it over to the house, safely in the water where it belongs!

I will post the rest of our pictures and stories from the week tomorrow night- I had a soccer game and am absolutely pooped! The team we played was called aggressive aggression..... and they certainly lived up to their name!! They were big girls who liked to use their size to push us around and I'm sore and tired..... so it's bed time for me!
