We made it home safely after having a wonderful, relaxing weekend down in Dewey Beach! We left Thursday night and got to the beach around 8pm. Bode did well, we only had to stop once to feed him. It was an exciting ride- on the way down a ginormous plane was landing right over us at Dover Air Force Base.... we aren't sure exactly if it was a C-10 or a C-130, but it was loud and huge... and literally was about 100 feet above our car as it landed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are some pictures of us on our way, as well as the airplane coming in for a landing.
We got to the beach Thursday night, unpacked our stuff and got Bode fed and bathed and put him to bed. Michael and I hung out on the deck and had a few drinks before calling it a night! I got up early on Friday and went for a run.... I had such an amazing run- I forget how flat it is at the beach and I love people-watching, so my run to the boardwalk and back to the house was awesome!!! I came home to two sleepy boys on the couch!
After I got home from running, we took Koa for a walk down to the beach to run around with the other beach pups! Bode LOOOVES his carrier by the way- thanks Suzie!!
Walking down the beach
The water was FREEEEEEEEEEZING
The friendliest, biggest dog EVERRRR
This was such a precious picture of our peanut after his long morning on the beach!! Friday was pretty much a wasted day :( Our plan was to drive the boat trailer to the DMV to get the trailer registered (we are taking the boat to Maine this year... yeaaaaaahhh). We drove about an hour and a half to the DMV only to have the trailer FAIL inspection... the brakes didn't work :(:( So we drove back to Indian River Marina to leave the trailer and decided it's ok, at least we can still take the baby out on the boat and wax it and get it pretty for summer.... oh but wait, there was a leak in boat while it was in storage this winter so they couldn't put it in the water- BUMMMERRRRR. The marina couldn't fix it for 1 week, so Bode and I watched as Michael waxed the boat while it was up on stilts hahaha. What a wasted day!! Friday night, Matt and Andrea made it down around 10pm so we had some drinks with them and hung out! We needed it for sure!
Saturday was so nice out! It was Bode's first official beach day. It was kinda breezy down by the water, so we left him in his pants and short sleeves... plus, he wasn't in the sun much at all- only to snuggle here and there. He pretty much just chilled out in his stroller or his sun shade all day and was a perfect angel all weekend of course!!

Hey.. We're going to Maine too (Bar Harbor). Where and when are you headed up there?
We are going July 12-19 this summer and we stay on Sebago lake... it's about a half hour north of Portland! When are you going?
