2 Months Old!!

The Madara Family has been quite busy lately! Bode just got his license and is starting to look at colleges.... hahaha oh wait, it just feels like he's growing too fast! As I say in all of my posts, he is absolutely adorable and keeps getting cuter!! He is such a big, strong boy and is doing so incredibly well. He still smiles ALL THE TIME and actually started to giggle this weekend- it's so precious, there is nothing like it!! He turned 2 months old which surprises some people... they seem to think he looks and acts like he's about 4-6 months old. I guess that's a good thing! This first picture of him looking at Koa's squeaky toy is a replica of a picture my Grandma has of my Dad many years ago (don't worry Dad, I won't give your age away)! My Dad was about the same age and is on his belly looking at his stuffed animal, Sam!

This is one of my favorite onesies!! It's a Dr. Suess shirt that says 'Noise Maker'... gotta love Dr. Suess!!!

We started feeding Bode cereal about a week ago, just at night. He was sleeping until about 4am which is GREAT! He would wake up absolutely famished and down a 6 oz. bottle in no time.... so we did cereal at night and he has been sleeping through the night from 9- about 6 or 6:30- Mommy and Daddy are super super thrilled!!! Just this past weekend, we started giving him cereal in the morning too and he is doing so well with it! He takes it off the spoon and is already opening up for it, instead of sucking it or lapping it off of the spoon! Bode goes for his well baby checkup on Thursday, where he gets a series of 2-month shots :( I'm not looking forward to that, but will update everyone with his stats!

Sara ran her first marathon on Sunday!!!!!!! We are all so incredibly proud of her! She finished just past 5 hours, I think her time was 5 hours 8 minutes or something like that- absolutely AMAZING if you ask me! The weather was perfect and although Bode and I couldn't make the trip to NJ to see her finish, Mom & Dad got pictures and Bode and I drove to Philly Sunday night to see her! Alex threw Sara a surprise get together with friends to help celebrate- he ordered food from DiBruno Bros.... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! It was so great seeing her and you have to check out her blog page for pictures of her throughout the several stages in the race (Charlie Cohen blog). WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU SARA KEALOHA!!!!

Here is Bode chillin out in his chair in the mountains and relaxin with Mommy!

This past weekend, our family went to the mountains (that's right, our family- Michael, me, Bode, and Koa)! I love saying our family, I'm such a nerd!! We took Bode on his first trip to our cabin in Huntington, Pa. It's about a 2 hour drive and he did really well- slept most of the way and only cried for about 5 minutes when we got onto the turnpike. We got up there Friday night and Michael went hunting first thing Saturday. I took Bode and Koa on a hike and we had a lot of fun. It's a lot tougher hiking with about 12 extra pounds strapped to your chest!!!
Here are my boys, hangin out at the mountains

When Michael got back, we hung out until going to dinner at Hoss's..... one of the finer dining establishments in Huntington County!! It was really really good- I loved the salad bar of course!! We came home on Sunday and Michael and his Dad headed out to Chester County to install flooring for friends of ours.

Here is Bode doing his boxing impression at Hoss's

That is when Bode and I headed into the city to see Sara! The next few weeks are super busy for us. Michael and his Dad are working on the floor for the next two weekends and then after that, we have 3 straight weekends at the BEACH!!! I can't wait to go to the beach house, it's been so long since we've been down there and I can't wait to see Bode at the beach- he's gonna be the cutest kid in Dewey Beach!

Here is our adorable little drool monster!!

So the Madara family is doing really well and we hope that you all are too! Don't forget that Mother's Day is coming up soon.... if you are looking for that extra special gift for Mom this year, give us a call at A Basket Case and we can create something unique and wonderful that Mom will never forget!!
