Where do I start

What a busy weekend we have had.... just thinking about what we did makes me tired again! Kinda started Thursday with Michael's birthday- we went right from work to get Bode, dropped our cars off to get oil changes near one of Michael's favorite restaurants, and walked to dinner at Longhorn!!! We had a yummy meal and Michael loved his gift, we then went back to pick our cars up to find out both of us had roofing nails in one of our tires! So we paid the extra money to get them patched up and were on our way home.
Friday morning I woke up to take Bode to daycare and my tire pressure warning light came on for the very same tire they fixed... hmmm that's funny- NOT!!! I took him to daycare because the tire didn't look low and went to the gym after taking Bode. Thankfully I took Michael's advice and checked my tire again because by the time I had gotten to the gym, it was SUPER low!!! I called the tire place and ripped them a new one... nicely :) they said they couldn't come out to service the tire, I would have to make the 15-20 minute trip there.... RIIIIGHT! I missed my workout, hit up every single gas station on the way there to fill my tire, which at one point was at 15 PSI (supposed to be 41)!!! I made it to the tire center, they were very sorry and they fixed me up and I came back to Lititz. tired yet?? i've only just begun, hang tight!
Friday was a long day because it was Second Friday in Lititz, so we were open late- luckky day! We had an amazing day, the weather was beautiful for a fall night in Lititz and my Mom and I were pooped by the time we closed around 9:30pm. Michael went to the cabin and was hunting Saturday, so Aunt Cathy had Bode- and had a great time!! Bode was good for her, and I'm so glad they got to spend time together- THANKS AGAIN CATHY!!
Saturday, I went for a long run and got rained on halfway through it :(:( came home to warm up, and was off to work- Saturday was the chocolate walk in Lititz- what a great day it was even though I HATE chocolate, and can't stand the smell!!! There are about 30 stops throughout the downtown area that give out chocolates of all kinds, shapes, etc. You can purchase buttons and get the chocolates free at each stop, or just be part of the Jo-public and purchse stuff. We had one of our best Saturdays!!!! It was such a fun day and we love hearing people come in our store and say 'this is the cutest store' or 'you have the cutest, neatest stuff'! I thought my Mom was going to cry at one point she loves hearing that haha. She came to work Saturday so I could get out of there early, so I left around 3pm and went home, changed and freshened up a bit, got my stuff ready, and was off to York, Pa to do a jewelry party!! Getting more tired?? I think so! The party was fun- it was a good crowd of women and everyone had fun! I didn't get home too terribly late, around 10pm, which was good because I hadn't seen Bode or Michael since Friday morning :(
Sunday I went for a run while Michael and Bode made eggs and toast (with ketchup, Bode's absolute favorite condiment... he wants ketchup on everything from tuna casserole to waffles... or faffles as he says). We got ready and headed to Chester County to go apple picking with my parents and Charlie & Aaron. My parents had Sara's boys for the weekend so they could celebrate their anniversary over the weekend- filled with relaxing, movies, and dinners out on the town!!! We got there around noon and left for Highland Orchards- we have been going there since I can remember... well I guess we moved to the area when I was in 7th grade, so since then- but before that, we went apple picking every year, no matter where we lived! Highland Orchards is very fun and was the most crowded we had ever seen it- holy cow, talk about waiting in lines!! It was worth it, we had a fun day and I would wait probably 6 hours in line to eat 1 of their apple cider donuts- voted Best of Philly!! My mouth is watering just thinking about them-
Michael and I were going to take Bode apple picking out near our house, thinking we wouldn't have a chance to coordinate with my parents' and Sara's kids, but my Dad really wanted to take 'his boys' out this year, so it worked out perfectly!
Gampa getting the boys ready to have fun

Gampa and Bode
nice face Michael... I'm usually the one to make funny faces... let's try this again
that's better!
the Madaras

hahaha Sara, I swear he just ran towards the sign and stuck his head in the girl's photo.... we didn't make him!Bode wasn't sure what to do... would have been a cute picture

they have a small farm there with llamas, donkeys, goats, chickens, etc. You can feed the goats, which Bode talked about all day- even though he didn't feed them himself! This goat on the left was so pregnant, you could see the baby inside her moving around- reallllly creepy!
Ready for pickin!

making sure the bags work
Aaron was along to make sure we were all behaving and having a good time- he was so good and just chilled out
the boys loved it!! Bode doesn't get that the good apples are on trees, so i had to watch he didn't pick up the nasty apples on the ground and put them in our bag!
a kid after his momma's heart.... he loves his apples and was on a mission to get more!
counting apples in the bag with Daddy

fill it up Gampa!
bless his heart, he loves apples!
Dad using the stick/apple grabbie thing- which was very handy because most of the apples down low were picked through, so we got the good ones!

Bode helped get some on the top
and munched of course, as did Mommy!!
Charlie grabbing for an apple
the gang

Mom- on stroller duty! good job
looks terribly uncomfortable, but remember... he's wearing a diaper haha! he loved being able to grab the apples off the branch!
watching Gampa's master apple picking skillzzz
this was the most beautiful golden retriever I have ever seen.... it was pure white and just gorgeous!
Punkins!!! as Bode says
Tutu and Gampa looking for good ones

Charlie wasn't sure about feeding the goats- I think that's his Mom in him!
So we left the orchard around 4 after eating apple cider donuts and enjoying every single morsel of sugar- did I mention how amazing they are?!??
We headed back to Lancaster- this time to Mount Joy to have dinner at Nana's house. Aunt Lynne was in town & we always love visiting with everyone at Nana's house!! Dinner was great and we brought an apple pie from Highland Orchards that was oh so delicious... the kids played nicely inside and outside while we watched football and talked and played cards. I literally ran from one room to another to play the game and see the Broncos beat the Patriots in overtime- I'm so proud of the Broncos and I hope they continue to have a better record than Michael's 49ers!! We made a deal- whatever team has a better record near Thanksgiving, that's the NFL team sweatshirt Bode gets this year- definitely a fair wager!
Bode playing outside with Makayla and Payton!
the kids playing football and just running around
We left Nana's around 8:30 and it felt like midnight to us- we were wiped out, so was Bode... he stayed asleep the whole time I changed him into his jammies and then when I put him in bed, he said 'feed goats' hahaha i love it!! He talks in his sleep and lately must be dreaming about food because Aunt Cathy said he was talking about French Fries and Ketchup!
I can't tell you enough how excited I am to not have a lot going on this week- I have two jewelry parties to do this weekend, Sara on Saturday and Mom on Sunday but it will be worth it in the end when I'm using all that extra money for Christmas gifts!! This week our focus is working on the playroom- we need to move the rest of the stuff out of the upstairs, and get ready for them to measure for carpet... Home Depot is having a MEGA sale on installation and carpeting right now... so we'll see if we can make the deadline ha!
Hope everyone has a great week :)
