Labor Day in Dewey Beach with Tutus!

We had such a great weekend at the beach with my Tutus and as I posted pictures I realized I was not a very good picture taker this weekend.... one of the days i completely forgot my camera and got no pictures.... but I will capture more this coming weekend for sure!

Unfortunately, Michael and I sat in traffic for awhile and it took us a little over 4 hours to get to the beach on Friday :( we quickly realized why people travel with small kids overnight hahaha- Bode had enough about 3 hours into the trip and wanted milk, his truck, and Gampa!!

We started our family game of Shanghai which, if you don't know about it, is an extremely fun but LOOONG card game.... my grandfather learned the game probably overseas at some point and we used to play it every holiday with the family. We now continue to play in his memory and it's so fun but can be very competitive :) we started Saturday night and finished Sunday night

me with my Tutu man! The kids called my grandparents Makua which means elder and technically my grandma would be Makua Hine- short for Makua wahine (elder woman)..... but that was a bit much for the kids... Bode ended up calling them 'my koa' hahahaha and charlie called them both Tutu Makua

We went to Big Fish Grille of course Saturday and had a wonderful dinner- despite some fussiness from my monster- we read Stanley before going to bed

my Mom was at home while Bode napped and Michael and I joined my Dad and Tutus on the boat. when we got back Bode was awake and of course reading Stanley Goes Fishing!

it was a bit overcast, but still a nice day on the boat. The bay was SUPER busy, but we were able to drop anchor for a bit and enjoy some boat drinks and fishing!

We were sad to say goodbye to everyone, but my parents are having a big BBQ this Saturday for other friends and my Tutus so we will see them again!

What beautiful weather we had and are currently having! It feels like fall and gets me SOOOOOOOOO excited because I LOVE fall and this weather is the best for running!!! I had a great run at the beach on Saturday and Michael came with me!! I took him for the 5 mile route and he stayed with me until about the 3.5 mile and then I went ahead, but for him not being a runner and not really running at all, he did GREAT! I continued on and did about 5.5 miles and felt great.

If you are in Lititz this Friday, don't forget- it's Second Friday and we will of course have our beer margaritas for all. We are putting summer stuff away at the store and are starting to unveil our fall stuff, so you will get to see that and let me assure you, we have ADORABLE fall/winter things! I never really decorate my house for 'seasons' but with some of this cute housewares stuff we have, I might need to start!
