I love weekends

I love weekends..... especially weekends spent at home with not much to do! Friday night we had Devon/Brandon and Matt/Andrea and the dogs over. We had dinner and hung out and it was very relaxing and great to spend time with friends. Saturday I did have to work, which sucked because I missed my boys, but Michael had fun with Bode. When I got home, we freshened up and headed to the Hostetters house- we had dinner with them and the Foltz's at a new restaurant called Loxley's.... it's this awesome bar with a 'robin hood' theme. they have outside seating in these tree houses and the food was great- HOWEVER they just opened and like all new restaurants, there were hiccups. They were slamming busy and our food took almost 2 hours to come out and they forgot my meal- chicken caesar salad... not a big deal, but it took forever to then bring out later- by that time, everyone was done eating.
The atmosphere was nice, food was good- Michael and i will try going back there after they have been open for awhile.
Bode and Nadia were great for the babysitter- we used our girl again and she had a great time with both kids.

Sunday morning, I got to spend time with my boys and i just love weekends!! Bode is learning so much and i am constantly amazed at how absorbant he is with everything. He knows things that absolutely blow us away and he is just so cute I want to eat him up!!!

Here is Bode eating dinner with his new crown that he made at school... King Bode!
Hamming it up with Daddy

Either Bode loves to clean or Mommy cleans WAY too much hahaha..... we noticed him using his 'popper' to mimic me vacuuming and i got it on camera....
such a sponge!

sunday afternoon Michael and I started building our rock wall.... Bode and Koa both had a ball playing outside all day while we worked our butts off and the wall looks great so far. I'm going to wait to post before/after pictures of the outside of our house until we have more done... right now we only have half of our house done hahaha

Unfortunately, we had some bad news this weekend too.... my Dad wasn't feeling well at the Phillies game and went home from work early on Friday- he had a fever and for my Dad to come home early from work, we knew something wasn't right. He insisted that he and my Mom continue with their plans to go to the beach house for the weekend. Around 1:30 am he was having such horrible pains, they went to the ER and found out it was his appendix :( While waiting all night for the surgeon to get to him, his appendix ruptured Saturday morning and he is now hooked up to drains and is in the hospital for a few days :( Unfortunately they are still at the beach in the hospital, so we aren't close enough to be able to visit him..... but he is doing better and was able to walk the hallway today with my Mom. It's always one thing after another I swear... just last week, we had a flood in our Exton location- the water heater is apparently located in the ceiling and a valve broke and water was spraying everywhere all weekend... .we got to work Monday morning and walked into standing water..... if you don't know our Exton location, we have about 3,000 sq. ft. filled with thousands and thousands of products. The worst part is now the landlord needs to replace the carpets and drywall- again thousands of products need to be removed, stored somewhere else, then replaced- it's been a rough week and what a way to start the weekend. Please keep my Dad in your thoughts as the week goes on and let's hope this is a better week!
