So when I last left off, we had just completed a fantastic long bike ride, which again Bode is absolutely LOVING!! That was Wednesday and we got back around noonish and went on the boat. Wednesday evening, Nic and Lisa arrived late and we stayed up to have a drink with them and catch up on their lives. Thursday was a pretty crappy day (i think all over the country) so we stayed home and rented 'Taken'. Wow, what a great movie!!! Highly recommended for sure.
We decided to go to dinner at Big Fish Grille thursday night and when we got downstairs to leave, we noticed that OUR BIKES WERE STOLEN.... can you even freakin believe it?!?!! It has been a few days since then and I'm still more pissed than ever! There are a ton of senior week kids down here and the police said that a lot of times they take bikes to get to a party and then ditch them in the bushes or something. Michael's bike isn't hard to miss because there is a child seat attached to it and one would need a wrench to get the brackets off. We were FURIOUS to say the least. I had gotten my bike for my birthday last year and I bought Michael his bike for his bday last year and now that Bode loves riding, it was such a shame. We filed a report, scoured the immediate area, and went to dinner- Nic and Lisa paid for dinner as a thank you for inviting them down which was SOOO nice, thank you guys again- totally unnecessary, but so sweet!
So when we got home, Michael and Nic walked around Dewey, waiting to see some punk kid riding our bikes and ready to knock them out! We found nothing :( Before going to bed Thursday night, Michael took Koa out and decided to check this apartment area one more time- it's right near our house and there are always lots of people renting them. Sure enough, he found his bike, ditched in between two buildings! There was hope..... someone had tried taking the child seat off and actually broke the bracket, however they were not able to get the bolts out and were probably mad so they ditched it. We were happy to find his bike for sure, but pissed that now his child seat is unusable til we get it fixed and pissed that my bike was still missing. Friday morning, we went out again- Michael walked around in the rain for about an hour looking and I went out for about a half hour- Michael ended up finding the water bottle that belongs to my bike in the same apartment complex, but no sign of the Trekster. I called the police and asked if they or I could go door to door looking in the apartments or on porches for my bike and of course, without probable cause it was a no. Senior week was coming to an end and if the weather wasn't so crappy, I would have perched myself at the end of town and watched every freakin car leaving Dewey, waiting to see my bike. It is now Saturday and still no sign of my bike :( Unbelievable, some kid or kids stole our bikes out of our garage carport- even with a stinkin child seat attached..... that's cojones right there.
So the end of the week has been upsetting but we have enjoyed our friends' company for sure.

Cute picture of Bode.... this case of Mich Ultra was empty of course, but it looked like he was helping stack full cases hahaha

Friday late afternoong, Lindsay, Kristi, and Lisa came down for the weekend. Bode loooves flirting with Lindsay!

So Bode is really smart- not just because he's our kid, he is just smart for his age i think. Michael was sitting on the couch and asked Koa if he wanted to get brushed- Bode waltzed over to Koa's bag and brought Koa's brush over to Michael! We have never really told Bode that was his brush or anything. He also loves trying to take Koa for walks. When he is in the stroller and I have Koa, Bode likes to hang onto the leash- here he is trying to put Koa's harness on him

i really don't have to put a description here- if you dont know who this is, you shouldn't be on our blog silly!

Again thanks goes out to Lisa K for making Vodka-soaked grapes.... the grapes were delicious... but so was the juice!!

Friday morning Lindsay ran with me- she runs 3 miles usually, but i convinced her to come along and she stuck with me for the 5 miles and she went back and i did my 7 miler!!!!! Way to go Lindsay! I should be a motivational runner hahaha. My running has been great! I love running on vacation because i have so much time- I don't have to worry about squeezing a workout in before work or anything. It's funny because i was so used to running my 3-4 miles/day and i never really got sore- but now that i have been doing 7 miles/day, i can tell that i'm using different parts of my muscles cause i'm always sore!!
we went to the beach with everyone on Saturday- it was finally a nice day, after 3 days of rain :( yuck! Bode has been much better now that we switched back to 2 naps a day!

My Mom has been working sooo hard with everyone to get the store in Lititz up and running- I hear the candy counter is moved in and most of the shelves, units, etc. Monday we are going to start unpacking stuff- yeahhhhhhhhhhh!!!
I still can't believe my bike is gone :( On a brighter note, I scored some MAJOR OUTLET DEALS at Puma- holy cow, the entire store was 40% off and that was off of the lowest ticket price! That was, of course, before i found out my bike was gone and now we will have to save for a new one! It's always something
