Weekend Update with Christy Madara

Thursday after our doctor appointment, Michael and i went home to spend some time with Bode. Michael had to leave that night for a bachelor party at his cabin in the mountains- they golfed all day Friday, fished all day Saturday, drank a ton in between and came home Sunday! It was Brandon's bachelor party and the guys had a great time.
After work on Friday, I got Bode and Koa packed up and headed to my parents' house for most of the weekend, which worked out with Michael not being home. We met up with the Cohen family on Saturday at the zoo and then we had a 'sprinkle' for my sister and Aaron on Sunday in the city.

We had absolutely GORGEOUS weather for the zoo on Saturday- we got there right when they opened luckily, because as the day went on, it just kept getting busier!!

Ready for the zoo to open already!!

Bode did a mixture of walking, strolling, and wagoning at the zoo- trying to get a little bit of everything in one day!

By the end of the day, Bode was desperately sucking his thumb and laying his head down on the tray of the stroller!!! We didn't get out of the parking lot and he was asleep- he then took a 3 hour nap that afternoon when we got home!

Sunday morning my Mom and I threw my sister a Sprinkle to celebrate Aaron (Charlie had a shower, Aaron gets a sprinkle). We had it at The Continental Restaurant/Martini Bar in Philly and it was very nice- the food was delicious!!!!!!!

It was so nice being reunited with Michael on Sunday. Although we had lots to do around the house, it was nice to be home as a family again! He had a great time at the bachelor party and we are both very tired. I just want to get this week over with. I am having the "baby procedure" done on Wednesday afternoon because my doctor didn't have O.R. time before that- totally sucks cause I have been waiting almost a week and now that it's Tuesday, I just want to get this over with and move on! Monday was a really depressing day for me. I'm usually very happy and upbeat so it wasn't fun for me to feel like that, but it sucks still feeling pregnant. I'm bloated all the time, have to pee every ten minutes, but am technically not really pregnant- it's kind of a constant reminder and I'll be glad to have a fresh, clean start on things soon enough!

I'm kinda bummed because I was supposed to run in the Race Against Racism this weekend with Kristi (remember i ran it last year about 6 weeks after having Bode). I'm not really supposed to run for a few days following the surgery and I don't want to risk hurting myself while I'm out racing. I will probably jog at the gym where I can stop if something hurts but I know Kristi will make me proud!!!

Friday night is the rehearsal and dinner for the Powell/Imhoff wedding and Saturday is the big day!!! Devon and Brandon are getting married at the pond at Millersville!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day and I'm so excited for them. On Sunday, I'm driving to DC in the morning to meet up with Ravin and Liam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't seen Ravin since our honeymoon and I cannot wait to see her and to meet Liam!!!!!!!!!!! We are going to hang out in DC for awhile and have lunch with the boys before she catches her flight back to Kentucky.

All in all, a busy weekend for the Madaras- back to busyness I guess for us!
