Thursday morning i woke up at 4am so that i could go to my parents' house to run before going to work- i figured i could get a good night sleep that night.... but Bode had other intentions! The ladies at the gym that afternoon told Michael he felt warm but he was running around outside so we took his temp and it was 102.... we gave him some tylenol and chalked it up to teeth. He woke up around 2:30 am and was sitting in his crib- talking.. babbling... going on and on. Finally around 3:30 I went in his room to tell him it was bed time and he felt really warm again- i gave him more tylenol and he continued talking until about 4:30 am..... we had a terrible night sleep, brought him to Joni's before going to work, and crossed our fingers he didn't get worse.

Friday he continued having a fever and pretty much just layed around and didn't want to do much- he looked so sad and had a temp of 104!! I left work to meet Michael at the pediatrician and of course Bode was playing at the doctor's office and acting normal. They checked his ears and they were gray (normal), but his throat looked red so they did a strep culture- luckily it came back negative, but they couldn't tell us what was wrong. They told us to pump him with motrin and if his fever was still bad, bring him back Monday.

This picture is pretty much how our Saturday went

Sunday morning, Bode woke up around 4am, which is right when the Motrin wore off- I gave him more, and he slept in til 8am (as did we).... we all felt rested and he woke up so happy!!
Playing football with Daddy

He still hasn't really eaten in about 3 days, but today he actually ate most of a nutri-grain bar and some applesauce- I hate seeing him sick, especially when I dont know what's wrong..... I just know that when he swallows, he winces in pain so I'm hoping he's not developing strep- the doctor said it's going around!

Sunday afternoon we had Taelor's 2nd birthday party. Here is Bode in the bouncer- we weren't there long because of his mysterious illness so he wasn't around the other kids much

This weekend I made my Mom's pasta sauce recipe- She makes the most AMAZING sauce and I think I did a pretty good job- there is a lot that goes into it, but it is soooo worth it, I was so excited. Not much else is new with us- just a sick baby and if he still has a fever in the morning, I'm bringing him back to the Pediatrician.
I am 8 weeks along today- at this time with Bode I had an ultrasound because they were worried i might be having a tubal pregnancy, I had severe sharp pains and lots of cramping. This time, no sharp pains but I'm starting to get kinda crampy and have been feeling much sicker than I think I did with Bode. Every day I pretty much feel nauseaus, although I haven't been sick yet. Everyone keeps saying maybe it's a girl, but i know my sister had two different pregnancies that were both boys and it's still pretty early, so we'll see- but wouldn't that be fantastic!!

Bless your heart! I know you have to be tired. I hope Bode gets better soon! It is so terrible when they are sick.
