Birthday madness!!

We had such a fun birthday with Bode and can't believe we are parents of a one-year old! I know, I know enough already.... I'm sure I'll get over it.... just in time for him to turn 2!!!!!!!!!!

Friday night I made a delicious roast beef dinner and Bode opened up the rest of his gifts! He loved his new puzzle

Saturday morning Bode helped play with the balloons and test them out as Daddy blew them up- and then tried to help me clean

The party started around 4 and we had so much fun. I borrowed Tonya's blow-up ball pit and it was a hit with the kids. I think once we get our playroom carpeted and painted we might get one! The kids loved it

Bode was not fond of his cake AT ALL!!! He didn't want to be put in his chair, he loved playing with the balloons and ball pit and was not happy

I know i have posted before how amazing Aunt Cathy's cakes are.... and here is more proof!!!

It was so weird that Bode didn't want to get his hands dirty... he digs into his food at home (he has started learning how to use a spoon/fork) but kept freaking out when his hands would get icing on them

I put his hands in the icing and he kept trying to fling it off!

He wasn't having it at all!

I put some cake in his mouth and he liked it..... but the minute he tried the icing he screamed! He ended up just having some ice cream and a little cake

Makayla and Sage were hanging out in the ball pit playing their Nintendo DS games and Charlie was quite the flirt!! He sat quietly next to them and just watched

Then it was time to open presents.... Bode was into it at first.....

But as soon as he saw a balloon it was over!

We had a great evening- Bode didn't make it much longer after opening gifts, he could barely keep his eyes open but was such a good boy!! Thank you everyone for coming and for the generous gifts for Bode- he is so fortunate


Later that night by request, we had to get out the stack cup! Poor Aunt Hope tries soooo hard hahaha

Sunday morning Bode woke up and started playing with his gifts (he doesn't have a shirt on because of trying to feed himself oatmeal and bananas for breakfast)

We got rid of most of the balloons so Bode actually was playing with his toys!!
