Brrrrrrrrrrr, Busy, Bonefish, Birthday, Bathroom, Bode... huh?

It has been so cold here lately!!! The past few mornings when I left for work it was 30 degrees- it really makes me miss my automatic start that I used to have in my Escape.... but now the Acura has seat heaters, so I guess I'll take the trade. I can't believe it's only Wednesday, I feel like I have been a lot busier than that already this week! I've been getting to work around 6am (with being an hour away, it means getting up at 4am) and we have been busy little elves already!
A lot of our clients this year want their baskets to arrive right after Thanksgiving, so their gift is the first one received for the season.... so we have already started the madness that is our holiday season! I am so incredibly lucky for Michael though- he is so supportive of my long days and tiredness and does everything he can to drop off and pick up Bode, make dinner, etc. so I can work as long as I need to. I am so lucky to have him, he really is the most amazing husband!
Speaking of amazing husband, we recently celebrated our anniversary and as a gift from my parents, we are going to dinner and a movie Friday night- yeahhhhhhh! We try to have date night at least once a month, but with Michael hunting lately it has been hard to accomplish that. We got a gift card to Bonefish Grill and a gift card to the movies! I'm kinda bummed that Reece Witherspoon movie isn't out yet ( I think it's called 4 Christmases) but we'll find something to see- maybe Madagascar 2, that looks so cute and we loved the first one. So my parents are watching Bode and they are excited and we are so excited to have a date night!
Saturday morning Michael is hunting in Chester County.... yeah, that's right Chester County- he has been looking for a spot to hunt there for soooo many years and he finally has one. Our friends Suzi and Rich (the ones to bought the really old house and fixed it up) have about 5 acres of woodland behind their house and because no one has been in that house for almost 10 years, the deer are EVERYWHERE. Just this past weekend they had a 10- point, 6-point, and 8-point buck roaming around their driveway/backyard.... CRAZYYYYYYYYYY! I'm hoping Michael at least sees something exciting.... he hasn't even seen much of anything at his cabin and he deserves a deer- after sitting in that tree stand all day in the cold and rain!
So saturday morning he will hunt there for a few hours and then we are off to the city for Charlie pie's birthdayyyyyyyyy! I'm so excited because it's at the fire house and the kids are just going to have a blast (even Michael is excited). They will get to see the firetrucks, play, and the fact that Charlie is having his birthday party is amazing- the past 2 years he has been so terribly sick around his birthday that they have had to cancel. Sara threw him off this year by having it early, just in case (he really doesn't turn 3 until December 10th). I don't want to jinx anything and have him come down with some weird bird virus or something, but I'm excited for him to have a party!!
The next project that we will start in our house is the bathroom on the main floor. Although I would love for it to be the basement, we can't afford all of that tile at this time with Christmas coming! Michael and Scott scraped all of the extra glue that was stuck on the floor for hours last week- they had blisters and were sore, but they managed to scrape about 700 sq. ft. of glue off the cement floor in a few hours- they are amazing! Our main bathroom is already tiled and originally we were just going to replace the grout because it's dirty and grosses me out.... but we have so much extra flooring from the rest of the first floor, we decided to rip the tile out and put the hardwood in the bathroom. I think it will make it look so much bigger and nicer!! We have been scraping wallpaper off the walls little by little each night and we will paint and do the floors! We also are replacing the vanity, sink, and medicine cabinet at some point but again, with Christmas coming we are at a standstill with that!

And certainly not any less important than anything above is our Bode man- AHHHH he is just too much lately- just when I think he can't be any cuter- BAM, he does something adorable! He loves attention ( I have NO IDEA where he got that....ha) and loves to hear himself yell and be loud (again, NO IDEA where he gets it.....)! He is much more balanced when standing up and lets go for longer periods of time. He is also really into his walking toys where he can stand behind them and push them, he's getting so good at it. He still loves his bath time and til we are done with the bath, there is barely any water left in the tub- I'm serious, he splashes like crazy. Two nights ago it actually looked like he was swimming, he layed on his belly and was flapping his arms- Michael and I are going to get him into swim lessons soon- they are offered at our new gym! Then this summer at the pool, Aunt Hope can take over.
He is eating what I call 'normal food' now- stuff we eat- as he now has 6 teeth and more on the way! This picture is of him eating his first real meal this week- tuna casserole and broccoli. He loved it and loved getting messy with it- smeared all into his hair and all over his face! I can't wait to see what he does on his birthday with his cake.... we will need plastic down for a 3 mile radius!

Tune in soon for more pictures and have a great week!
