Fall is Here

Fall is here and I'm absolutely LOVING it! I realized when I was running this past weekend that living in Pa is perfect! It's one of the few states that actually experiences true seasonal changes and fall is definitely one of my favorites... partly because of my love for apples- but I can't get over how beautiful the trees look when they change colors!

Michael went hunting Friday night and Bode, Koa and I went for a nice long run. Michael and I found a beautiful wooded trail near our house that goes right along a stream so I took Bode and Koa and let me tell you- it is sooo tough jogging while pushing Bode now. He is 19.5 lbs. and I can feel every pound! I see these Moms out there pushing kids that are about 4-5 years old and I don't know that I could do that..... it was tough but it felt good to accomplish the run. Saturday, Bode and I ran errands all morning and then while he napped, I cleaned the house until Michael got home- bummer, he didn't see one deer!!!!!!! I swear the deer get smarter and smarter every year!

Saturday afternoon we were off to Downingtown to spend some time with my family and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Michael's bday was October 8, Sara and Alex celebrated their Anniversary October 3, and our Anniversary is this Tuesday, the 21st!! Michael and I went to visit Suzie and Rich's house that they finally completed.... Rich bought this house 10 years ago and they have been fixing up the old part and adding onto it. The house was built in 1865, the same year the Civil War ended and there is so much character and history in this gorgeous house. After drooling over their house, we were headed to a house warming party in Norristown. One of my best friends from High School- Megan- and her boyfriend Matt just bought an apartment and had people over. It was so good to see her and our friend Sue showed up too- I haven't seen Sue since our wedding!! We reminisced for a long time and took some photos and then Michael and I scooted home to see my Dad, who has been in California on business for the past week.

Here is me, Sue, and Megan

Sunday morning, Michael, Bode and I got professional family portraits done- courtesy of a gift certificate I won for a free sitting and free portrait! With the leaves changing and the scenery outside, we cannot wait to see the pictures. We got a sneak peek of some of the shots and they turned out perfectly!

In our family, Fall is officially here when we go apple/pumpkin picking! We welcomed the beautiful fall weather this weekend by going to Highland Orchards for our annual family fall day.

Bode wasn't too sure about the goats... he just kinda stared that them and drooled

Here are the two monsters- sitting together- still.... we couldn't believe it either!

It was short-lived... Bode was off exploring in no time!

Charlie was sitting on a pumpkin but it looked like he was on the potty hahaha- he loved the pumpkin patch, he didn't want to leave!

Bode loving apples of course- he got enough of them while in my belly!!
