10 More Days until Settlement!!!

Another busy weekend down for the Madara Family! I just realized that maybe Bode is such a busy little boy because Mom and Dad don't ever stop going hahaha.... everyone warned me when I was pregnant if I didn't relax and stop doing so much, I was going to have a very active child!

Friday night we took Bode to yet another Home Depot visit- he really likes going there and looking at all of the stuff they have everywhere (right Christy, keep telling yourself that). I picked up some paint samples for the colors in Bode's room and our kitchen and we finally bought our hardwood floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course we can't go anywhere without making a scene and this time was no exception. The amount of flooring that we needed was not available just within our reach, so they had to shut off the flooring section so that the crane thing could get a pallet of flooring down for us!
Everyone was staring and Michael and I were hysterical laughing... I Just had to take a picture with my phone!!
So we got our flooring and headed home to do some more packing. Our closet is pretty much cleared out, as well as our dressers. We moved our nightstands and some bath stuff to Joni & Scott's house and are making progress. I still feel like I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet, but hopefully we'll get there!

Saturday I woke up around 7am (sleeping in for me!!) and I went running before Bode got up, thinking it would be any minute. I got back and Bode was still sleeping..... in fact, I WOKE him up at 9:30am- yowsers!!! He slept for over 12 hours.... I think it's because he was a sick boy Friday.... he was at the office with me and was really fussy all day. I took his temperature around noon and it was up to 102.1!! I gave him tylenol and called the Doctor, they thought he might have an ear infection so I took him in. Turns out, he had some wax in his ear that they cleared out, but the ears looked perfect! She thinks it might have been a combination of teething and getting over his cold from last week.... he woke up Saturday with no temperature and happy as can be! We ate breakfast and then Michael took the flooring to his parents' house while I took Koa to Devon and Brandon's house- they watched Koa while we went into the city (thanks again guys, Koa had a blast).

We love visiting the city- I honestly think it would be so much fun to live there, but I could never give up the ability to have a big backyard! It's been awhile since Bode and Charlie have hung out and they seemed to have fun together!

Here is Bode showing Aunt Sara how he crawls.... he's getting so big and is now officially sitting up on his own!!!

Charlie is really into reading, especially his Thomas books.... Bode loved the storytime!

Charlie also shared his elmo discs with Bode, who of course put them in his mouth.... showing Charlie how much fun it is to put EVERYTHING in your mouth!

So we were super excited to go to dinner Saturday night- as I mentioned in previous posts, Sara and Alex got us a gift card to the The Capital Grille.
We had the most AMAZING steaks in our life... words can't describe the flavor and tenderness of my filet mignon.... Michael enjoyed a 24oz. Porterhouse and we both were just in awe with how good everything was. I HIGHLY recommend trying it- they have locations all across the U.S. and it is WELL WORTH the money! The waitress brought us the dessert menu and I told her unless you have filet on there, don't bother!
We had such a nice evening out, just the two of us. We talked about Bode a little in the beginning, but actually had adult conversations and a romantic dinner- it was soo nice, thank you Sara and Alex!!

We didn't even realize that we were all color-coordinated..... awww how cute! hahaha Michael hates when I point out the fact that we match HA!

Sunday we headed back home, picked up Koa and packed up the truck and my car with another load of stuff! We headed into Mount Joy to drop our things off and go see the Ober Family!!! We haven't seen them since Maine and Jamie has been busy with Nationals, so it was nice to catch up with them and see the kids. When Michael and I lived in Mount Joy, we used to go to Jamie & Matt's house every Thursday night to watch our shows and play cards.... we never get to do that anymore and we miss seeing them! We grilled there and hung out for a bit and then went to Mitch & Kayla's house to see the twins!!! Oh my gosh are they precious. I can't believe how big Bode looks compared to them... he seems like almost a toddler already :(
The twins were adorable of course and I got to hold both of them at once, it felt so nice to snuggle with a little baby again! Bode is too busy to sit still and snuggle with me, unless he is super tired or sick. I miss that feeling of holding a newborn.... having a baby is addicting!!!!!!!

We are staying in Mount Joy until Thursday because Joni & Scott are in Maine and we are watching Maggie- they watched Koa and Cami while we were in Maine, so we are splitting Maggie's time with Jamie & Matt. Even though we won't get to do any packing this week at our house, I think it will be nice to get out of our chaotic house for a little while.... with things so disorganized and the house disheveled Michael and I both feel so scattered! Maybe we will have a little sanity this week in our life staying in a clean, organized house!!

Is Mike more upset when he matches you or when he matches Bode? Joe thinks it is horrible if we match or are coordinating, but thinks it is cool if Trey and him match (probably because he gets more attention then :))
