Surprise surprise, the Madara family is really busy! We had a wonderful weekend with Charlie and Sunday night we went to my parents' house to exchange children and welcome home my parents! They were in Europe for 2 weeks. 5 days were spent in Austria while my Dad was at a conference, and then they spent 7 days in beautiful Italy! Their pictures are spectacular. Monday morning, my Dad then had to fly to Seattle for business :( yucky!! But he made it home safely today and is exhausted to say the least! Monday was also my sister's 30th birthday.... HAPPY BDAY SIS!
This little doggy blanky is Bode's new favorite thing. He is starting to get some teeth on the bottom, so everything goes into his mouth now. Someone got this doggy blanky for him (sorry I don't remember who it was) and he LOVES to chew on it in the car seat!!! When I got to work on Monday, this is what I saw when I went to get him out- sooo precious!
Monday night I started in my soccer league finally. It's so good to see some of the girls I played with in college and other girls that I've played with in the past in our women's league.... I had so much fun playing and Michael had fun watching and laughing at me hahaha- all of us girls were so into catching up on marriage and babies that we didn't warm up.... so I hadn't touched a soccer ball in OVER a year!! I did okay on the field with dribbling and moves, but all of my shots were all over the place!! I'll make sure to warm up next Monday for sure! Tuesday and Wednesday I could barely walk... my hamstrings are still incredibly sore from sprinting.... that's not really something I do regularly at my gym hahaha.... it's a great workout though and I love playing again!
Wednesday night my sister and Alex invited us to the Dave Matthews Band concert in Camden. They got free tickets in the 5th row from Alex's Dad.... who can pass that up??!! My Mom watched Bode while we went to the city (thanks Tutu) We had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the pictures, I took them with my phone camera! The above picture was a view from our seats as they were setting up the stage. There were a few rows of 'pit seats' and then we were 5 rows back.... we had VIP tickets, so we were hanging out in a tent area with food and beer before the concert started. It was such a fun evening!! Thanks so much Gene!!
This was a picture of Dave singing one of my favorite songs- "Trippin' Billies". The light display was so awesome and the phone really doesn't do our seats justice.... I could see the sweat beads on Dave's face...
Michael and I having an amazing time- yes Kristi... AMAZING!! I of course wore one of my favorite t-shirts.... my 'Rock On' shirt, gotta love it! We hit horrible traffic coming out of the city, so we didn't get to my parents' house until 1am and Michael had to get up at 5 to head back to Lancaster for work :(
Tonight we were supposed to go to a Lancaster Barnstormers game with our friend Justin Brandenberg, but that fell through but Michael had a softball game.... and then tomorrow after work, we are headed to the beach. Nanny and Pap are watching Bode and Koa all weekend (THANK YOU SO MUCH)!!!! Both boys are so excited for their weekend getaway, as are Mommy and Daddy.... although this is our first weekend without our little angel, so it will be hard for us!
I thought this picture was just too cute. Today at work we finally began our big move.... into our retail site. For those of you that have been to the shop (mount joy work crew), you know how much crap there is to move and organize!! It will be a process that's for sure... anyway, my Dad came to the shop right from the airport to see Bode and he watched him for awhile so I could do some things at work.... they had so much fun talking and hanging out!
Although Bode is getting a few teeth on the bottom, he is just an absolute joy. He is such a good baby and he is constantly happy!!! The modeling agency that picked up Bode emailed me today to let me know they submitted him for a job with Gerber baby products!!! How fun would that be!!
Well, I think that it for this week.... I'm sure you are all tired just from reading about our week! I will make sure to post pictures from our beach trip this weekend and hopefully I'll have pictures from Bode's trip to Nanny's house!! Have a great weekend
