HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first Mother's Day and what a great day it was!! We were at my parents' house all weekend so that Michael and his Dad could work on the flooring for our friends. They worked their stinkin tails off and are now ahead of schedule!!! YEAHHH!! Friday night, we went to dinner with Mom and Dad and stayed at the bar to hear Liz sing, had a few drinks, and danced a lot! (My Dad took Bode home, he wasn't old enough to be at the bar) Saturday, the Cohen clan came to visit and Sara and I were supposed to make a really nice Mother's Day dinner for my Mom, but we had a slight scare! My Mom woke up with a really sore jaw that morning and as the day continued, it got worse. She ended up getting really dizzy and nauseous and her face started to look droopy- needless to say, my Dad was really concerned and took her to the ER, thinking she might be having a stroke :( They were there most of the day, waiting for CT scan and blood work results to come back. They think she had a horrible case of TMJ (lock jaw). Apparently, it affects the inner ear, causing the dizziness and nauseous and the drooping was caused probably by the jaw itself being out of alignment. They didn't get home from the hospital until about 4pm, so we have postponed our dinner until the Cohen clan get back from their cruise! That will give me time to actually make the recipe that I was preparing!!

Yes, the Cohen clan left for their cruise on Sunday. They safely arrived in Puerto Rico, where they will catch the boat and be off to the islands! Charlie will be at our house on Tuesday and will have a sleepover in his new blow-up cars bed!!! Let's hope he likes it haha

Bode is amazing as usual- he is such a good baby, I'm so incredibly happy and lucky! He is "talking" and cooing constantly and his salivary glands have started to function. Apparently, they don't really work until a baby is about 2 months old.... so he is drooling and blowing bubbles too! He sits up almost on his own- he does well until he tries to fling himself backwards! Charlie has taken a liking to Bode more and more- although he still is not interested in 'holding baby Koa', he kept asking for him and talking to him this weekend. At one point on Sunday, he even helped me feed Bode- it was so adorable.... I can't wait for Sara to get home and see the pictures!!

I am waitressing at the Cove on Monday night- it should be interesting because it's my first night back there, but it's supposed to just pour all day Monday :( Without the deck in use, I don't think the restaurant will be busy- which is good though, because I don't want to get home too late! I'm going to miss my boys :( Michael is excited to have him though, because he didn't see him much with working this weekend. Everyone seems to think that Bode looks more and more like Michael every day..... but with my skin coloring hahaha-
I had a gorgeous bouquet of a dozen long stem red roses on our kitchen table for Mother's Day from my boys..... I LOVE FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope all of the Mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!
