Happy 3-week Birthday, Bode!!!

Because I am so obsessed with celebrating my birthday, I'm living that vicariously through Bode... hey, he's not old enough to know yet! So yesterday was his 3-week birthday!!!! Michael had to work and my Mom and I had a show to do at Astra Zeneca, so Bode celebrated by going to Nanny's daycare for the first time and was a good boy! We had dinner there and Michael got his hair cut (Ober's plumbing and barber shop). I thought this was a funny picture because Michael is wearing the cover that the kids wear! I want to give a quick shout-out to our friends Mitch and Kayla, who just started blogging- WELCOME! They are expecting a set of twins and we cannot WAIT until they arrive!! I added a link to their new blog, so please check them out! I also want to mention that I am SOOOOO incredibly proud of my sister, who is training for her first marathon that will be held in May. She did her longest run so far, which was 20 miles!! I am so proud of you Sara, and I can't wait to see you cross that finish line- Bode and I will be cheering you on!!

Our Easter show at Astra Zeneca went really well. For those of you who don't know, I work for my Mom- she started her own business about 5 years ago, doing custom gift baskets (Mom, here's your plug!). 'A Basket Case' specializes in custom gift baskets for any and all occasions. We find out the occasion and budget of our clients, and we work to create a unique custom gift that we then can ship or delivery anywhere! We are the only gift-giving company out there that does what we can do, please see the link at the bottom of the blog to visit our website.... we are currently updating it, but it will be done soon! Every so often (usually around holidays) we go to large companies and do shows, where we exhibit baskets, gifts, food, chocolates, etc. and we actually do cash & carry. It's so much fun and one of my favorite things to do with the business! Business had been going well and 2007 was an absolutely fantastic year for us! With me just starting there in September, I know 2008 will be an even more successful year! I hope to return full time in April and be out doing my sales shortly thereafter.Michael is doing well at work, although he hasn't been able to use his new training yet. The economy is not helping his industry, so business is kinda slow right now, but he is still enjoying his job and hopes to be able to use his new skills soon!! We brought Bode into his office last week and everyone there loved him, of course! Opening day of Trout season starts soon, so Michael is really looking forward to that... the guys always go to the cabin for the weekend and camp out, drink a lot, and fish.... such a manly weekend!! Shortly after that, it's Turkey season!!!!!!! I'm excited because I think Michael will get one this year, at least I really hope so! The weather is getting nicer and soon enough Michael will be riding his bike to work again (which he absolutely LOVES doing) and it's nice for us because his truck isn't exactly the most efficient when it comes to using gas!!

Koa is still in love with Bode and every time someone is over holding him, Koa sits at their feet. He has calmed down a lot in general, which is such a relief. He went back to Oscar's yesterday (his doggy daycare) and was right back into the swing of things..... it's so good for him to go there and we love Oscar's so much (http://www.oscarspetresort.com/).

The whole family is doing really well! We are excited for Easter, to spend time with family. I have been really missing Grandma lately, I'm not sure if it's with a holiday coming up, or maybe Grandma is thinking about me too, but for whatever reason just this past week, I got really sad one day and missed her a lot! I have pictures of her holding Charlie and it makes me sad that she never got to actually hold Bode or see him in person- but I know she has 'the best seat in the house' (thanks Jamie) and is looking down on him and us every day!! We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and I will have more postings next week, with pictures of family!

Sounds like everything is going great. What marathon is your sister running?
