First trip to Costco!!

Bode had a follow-up appointment today with the pediatrician to make sure his weight is okay. He had lost a half pound when he came home from the hospital, but is now up to 8 lbs. 13 oz so he is doing really well!
We had a fun weekend with Michael being home (YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)!!!
Saturday morning, Michael and Bode watched a fishing show before breakfast- they both look so into the show, how exciting...... we hung out all day Saturday staring at our beautiful boy and playing with him and Koa. We went to Ryan's birthday party Saturday night and Bode pretty much slept through the entire thing, much to Jamie's dismay!! At least Aunt Jamie got to feed him!
Sunday we ran errands with Bode, which included his first trip to the grocery store. He slept through all of it, but I think his favorite aisle was the cereal aisle (just like Mommy). Next on the list was a trip to Costco, which was also Michael's first..... I told him about the "Costco lunch buffet" and boy was Michael excited for all of the samples. One of the sample ladies annoyed us though- after asking if Bode was a "premie", she proceeded to tell us that with all of the flu going around, she would never bring a baby to Costco and we should get him outta there soon! Needless to say, we were both pretty annoyed- we took our burrito sample and we were on to the next old lady!
Bode seems to be eating well still and he seem
s to be getting more used to his baths at night. Michael and I are still in absolute awe at what we created and I don't think we'll ever be able to get enough of him, it's so amazing!! Even though I'm glad to not have my giant pregnancy body anymore, I do miss feeling him move around inside me.... but I CANNOT WAIT to get back into running again and going back to the gym full time!!

You will get advice/opinions on how to raise your child from everyone. Remember what you think is good advice and ignore the others. Don't let them put a damper on the amazing experience of raising YOUR child (not their child).
Bode is beautiful, I can't wait to see him in person. He already looks so big!

It is so nice to see " the new family" out running errands. The fresh air is good for Bode and don't listen to that woman in costco's. The pictures are great and maybe on Friday i can see his eyes opened when you are at work. I knew you wouldn't be able to stay away too long... Keep staring at Bode,,,,,,,,it truly is a miracle.
see ya soon,
Kathy
