Shower Time

Here are pictures of my baby shower that my Mom and sister threw for me earlier in January. I had so much fun and it was so great seeing everyone and talking about Baby Madara. It was funny hearing everyone talk about what they think the baby will be and look like! Everyone is pretty much unanimous in thinking that the baby will be a boy! I still don't think anyone has bet money on it yet, but we are starting to mark down predictions of when I will deliver on our calendar! Here are more pictures of me opening gifts- we got so many gifts, everyone was so generous! And here is the beautiful cake that was made for baby Nalu!

These pictures are from my recent shower, this past Saturday. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law graciously threw Michael and I a couples shower that was such a hit!! For anyone that wasn't there, you can clearly see based on this picture (that doesn't even show all of the gifts we received) that everyone was again extremely generous to us and to baby Madara! We are so blessed to have such caring friends and family in our lives, we really are grateful for everything.

Here are some candids of us opening gifts together. Michael had a great time, except for when he opened up the box of nursing pads hahaha! He got excited though, because Nic and Lisa got us Phillies bottles!! Here is Makayla helping us open up our Baby Einstein activity center!

Ok, so Aunt Cathy is notorious for making amazing cakes for all occasions. She is the go-to-gal for all of your birthday cake-making needs. I don't think there is a design she can't do.... honestly, she does amazing work- all by hand! Here she has replicated our nursery theme onto our shower cake- to the very detailing on the elephants tail!! I'm telling you, she does amazing work!! This is exactly how our nursery looks, even the coloring is right on. She even went as far as to create a 'little wave' under Baby Nalu!!
So Jamie (my sister in law) is not one for games, however this game that we played was hysterical! It was called 'guess what's in the diaper'..... and literally, we had to guess what was in the diapers. They melted 8 different types of candy bars in diapers, and each couple had to sniff the diapers and examine the 'mess' to see if they could guess what the brown stains were made of..... it was so funny to see the guy stick their faces in these diapers and laugh at each other! What a riot!! Tina/Justin and Nic/Lisa ended up tying for first place.... but we were all pretty close! Here are pictures of Matt and Andrea examining their messy diaper, and Devon is about to dive in to this diaper!
Our showers were so much fun and again, we are so blessed to have such generous and caring friends and family in our lives- we cannot wait to share the little bundle of joy with everyone, hopefully it will not be long!!
thank you to everyone who contributed to the showers, they were perfect!!
